Supervisors to vote Monday on massive Treasure Island redevelopment

The moment of truth has arrived for the long-in-the-making plan to redevelop Treasure Island.

Amid concerns of sea level rise, tsunami fears and a reduction in the initially proposed number of affordable housing units, the Board of Supervisors Land Use and Economic Development Committee is scheduled to vote Monday on the project.

It is expected the committee will send the deal out for a vote by the full board on May 17.
