Supervisors say OK to healthier budget reserves

City Controller Ben Rosenfield’s first set of recommendations to improve The City’s annual budget were approved Tuesday by the Board of Supervisors in a 10-0 vote. The City Controller is required under voter approved Proposition A in November 2009 to every year make recommendations to improve the budget. They go into effect if at least eight members of the board support them as well as the mayor.

These recommendations create a stronger reserve system for The City’s budget.
