Supervisors, Mayor Ed Lee set for next round of question time

Most viewers of the first ever question time between the mayor and the Board of Supervisors were seemingly bored out of their minds.

Most agreed the format takes all the fun out of it, advance questions and prepared answers.

The first time it was supervisors from the odd numbered districts asking Mayor Ed Lee the questions. On Tuesday, it’s questions from supervisors from the even-numbered districts. This batch seems a bit more spirited.

Supervisor Jane Kim is asking about one of the most controversial issues in recent years, how The City handles illegal immigrants and why The City isn’t following the law Supervisor David Campos had authored.

Supervisor Scott Wiener wants Lee to talk about how The City is creating affordable housing for middle-income people. “We do a poor job building moderate income housing, meeting only 12 percent of our state goal,” Wiener’s submitted question states.

And Supervisor Mark Farrell wants to know all about talks Lee has been having with 49ers owner Jed York about keeping the team in San Francisco and whether Lee is working on bringing Golden State Warriors to San Francisco.

Question time begins at 2 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall in room 250.
