Supervisors hold language access hearing

A Board of Supervisors committee will hold a hearing to see how well city departments are doing living up to the requirements of the language access law. The hearing will examine whether the following departments are in compliance: Police Department, Municipal Transportation Agency, Department of Emergency Management and the District Attorney’s Office.

The law is meant to ensure people have access to city government and information no matter what language they speak or read.

The Board of Supervisors City Operations and Neighborhood Services Committee meets 10:30 a.m. Monday, at City Hall in Room 250.
