SuperHeavy super debut set for launch

You’ve seen the video for “Miracle Worker” on YouTube, you’ve heard what the surreal lineup can do.

But when, you wondered, was the eponymous debut from Dave Stewart’s supergroup SuperHeavy — which he’s dubbed “a mad alchemist type experiment” — actually arriving?

Wait no longer!

It’s just gone up for presale on iTunes, with a street date right around the corner, on Sept. 20. And it’s got cover artwork you can’t ignore, either — a snarling Bengal tiger bursting through a floral design.

And you’ve heard Joss Stone talk about it here, how — after Stewart finished producing her recent “LP1” stunner, she received a casual phone call from him, asking if she wanted to join a little band he’d put together. Next thing she knew, she was in a studio, face to face with Stewart, Mick Jagger, Damien Marley and “Slumdog Millionaire” soundtrack maestro A.R. Rahman, an assembly boasting 11 Grammy Awards between them.

And “SuperHeavy” will be available in two iTunes editions, regular: “SuperHeavy,” “Unbelievable,” “Miracle Worker,” “Energy,” “Satyameva Jayathe,” “One Day One Night,” “Never Gonna Change,” “Beautiful People,” “Rock Me Gently,” “I Can’t Take It No More,” “I Don’t Mind,” “World Keeps Turning.” And in a deluxe version, featuring: “Miyaha,” “Warring People,” “Common Ground,” “Hey Captain,” and “Miracle Worker (Ashley Beedle’s Warbox Remix).”
