Stuart Hall’s Collins not picked for McDonald’s All-American game

Armani Collins of Stuart Hall, bidding to become the first San Francisco boys’ basketball player to be selected to the prestigious McDonald’s All-American game, did not make the 24-player roster for the game.

Rosters for the game were announced Wednesday.

Only one California player was selected for the 12-member West team — Ivan Rabb, a 6-foot-10 center for Bishop O’Dowd High School in Oakland.

Collins, one of 823 boys’ and girls’ players nominated for the game, was averaging 20.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game before Stuart Hall beat International 72-41 on Tuesday. The Knights return to action tonight when they host Urban.
