Storm news: More than a thousand still without power

Most of the 1,595 Pacific Gas and Electric Co. customers in the Bay Area without power this morning should have their power restored later today, according to a company spokesman.

In the Peninsula, 550 customers are without power; 550 customers in the North Bay also do not have power; in the South Bay, 450 customers are without power; in the East Bay, 35 customers do not have power; and 10

customers in San Francisco are without power, PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.

"As long as the weather conditions don't get in the way," power will be restored to most of those customers today, Guidi said.

There is no estimation around what time power will be restored today, according to Guidi.
