Stimulus funds exhausted for SF's small businesses 

Businesses should expect a big drop in loans starting this week as federal stimulus money dries up today, according to Small Business California.

Since February 2009, San Francisco’s small businesses have garnered more than $50 million through these federal stimulus programs that are ending this week, said Scott Hauge, president of Small Business California. That includes a program that assists small businesses with cheaper loans and more access to capital.

Earlier this year, San Francisco policymakers sent a letter to Congress urging them to extend these monies that have assisted small businesses during these bad economic times.
