The Department of the Environment will benefit from $750,635 in federal stimulus dollars to help. The Board of Supervisors approved the acceptance and spending of the money Tuesday. It will be used to help with the costs of the San Francisco Sustainable Financing Program, commonly called SF2. The program is geared toward “developing and implementing innovative solar power purchase agreements models for the commercial sector and public schools and supporting the development of an innovative solar financing program for affordable housing over a two-year period,” according to The City’s application for the stimulus dollars.
