"Steve Jobs" movie seeking extras in San Francisco

Want to be in a movie? Want to (sort of) hang with Michael Fassbender, Seth Rogen, Kate Winslet and Jeff Daniels? Universal Pictures is looking for extras to film a scene from “Steve Jobs” on Sunday in The City.

Directed by Danny Boyle and written by Aaron Sorkin, the film — starring Fassbender as Apple founder Steve Jobs and Rogen as Steve Wozniak — is set backstage at three product launches and ends in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac.

Universal is seeking men and women ages 18 and older; attendees will receive free parking (a prize almost as good as being on the big screen), refreshments and the chance to win tickets to the premiere of the movie, which is slated for release Oct. 9. To sign up, visit www.beinamovie.com.

Speaking of Jobs, documentarian Alex Gibney offers a less-Hollywood version of the tech giant’s life in “Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine,” which opens the 58th San Francisco International Film Festival on April 23 at the Castro Theatre.

‘TROOPERS 2’ IN THE WORKS

In just one day, Broken Lizard, the comedy troupe behind “Super Troopers” and “Beerfest,” raised $2 million on its Indiegogo campaign to finance “Super Troopers 2.”

Perks include fake mustaches and Twitter follows from Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan and the rest of the cast. On Wednesday afternoon, some perks were sold out. One $35,000 donor already nabbed the patrol car from the film. Still available for a mere $25,000: All five members of Broken Lizard to stand up as best men (or women) at your wedding.
