Stanford professor appointed to US council 

Stanford law professor Mariano-Florentino Cuellar will be appointed to the Council of the Administrative Conference of the United States by President Barack Obama. Cuellar is an expert on federal regulatory policy, public safety and international security, while the council is an agency independent of the United States government that is charged with improving the efficiency and fairness of federal agencies.
