Sports briefs: NBA robberies linked?

Curry, his wife and an assistant were robbed Saturday. Walker was victimized July 10.

No comment is a comment

While Giants slugger Barry Bonds has said he respects Hank Aaron and admires the soon-to-be former career home run king, Aaron has distanced himself from Bonds and said he won’t be around when his record is broken. Need further evidence on where Aaron stands? "I am making a comment by not making a comment," Aaron said in San Juan, Puerto Rico, about Bonds being the heir to his throne. Aaron is in Puerto Rico for a series of clinics related to the World Children’s Baseball Fair, a charity he co-founded. Bonds is one homer shy of matching Hammerin’ Hank’s record of 755 career homers. After the Giants had Monday off, he resumes his quest in enemy territory when San Francisco opens a three-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers today at Chavez Ravine.
