‘Serious drug culture’ to be exposed in report

Former All-Stars andMVPs are anticipated to be among the 60 to 80 players whose names will be exposed after 20 months of investigation by George Mitchell today. The former Senate majority leader will release his findings in his 304-page report regarding performance-enhancing-drug use in baseball in an 11 a.m. news conference. The Mitchell report also will be posted online at MLB.com shortly after his conference. One source close to the report said that it would reveal the "serious drug culture within baseball, from top to bottom."
