Sports briefs: Bonds given wild offer

Free agent Barry Bonds, who made $16 million this season with the Giants, could make $1,200 per month with the Frontier League’s Washington Wild Things if he wants to. Jones works plea deal in strip club shooting

Suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones, who was recently denied a chance to return to the NFL this season by commissioner Roger Goodell, is prepared to take a plea deal that will get him probation in a Las Vegas strip club triple shooting in an attempt to salvage his career. Under the written plea agreement obtained by the Associated Press, Jones intends to plead no contest to one charge of conspiracy to commit disorderly conduct, a gross misdemeanor, in return for a promise to suspend a sentence of one year in county jail.
