Special, Hammer’s on your side 

Recently sworn-in Police Commission member Jim Hammer talked to about 50 guests at the Annual Luncheon of the San Francisco Patrol Special Police on Thursday.

That’s good news for the Patrol Special force, which could use any ally it can get on the commission as the rules by which the private security force are governed come under close scrutiny

Glen Park resident Ann Grogan was honored at the luncheon for organizing a small group to hire a patrol special officer following a rash of robberies in the area.
