Skies clearing for rest of week 

The drizzle that brought umbrellas out once again seems to be over and the sun should be spending a good deal of its time out from behind the clouds for the rest of the week, with typical mid-May weather.

And the early prognostication for Sunday — when the streets of San Francisco will be filled with costumed runners for the annual ING Bay to Breakers — is partly cloudy.

Monday proved to be glum and damp, giving San Franciscans a reprise of what we have experienced frequently this spring. In fact, The City’s precipitation is at about 106 percent of normal for the entire rain year, which ends in July, National Weather Service forecaster Diane Henderson said.
