Sixteen years after double-homicide, suspect turns himself in to San Francisco police 

A man suspected of murdering two people nearly 16 years ago turned himself in to police earlier last week.

Douglas Cabrera was charged with two counts of murder, following his decision to turn himself in to the San Francisco Police Department on May 6. He is being charged in the shooting deaths of Vincent Betancourt and Ruben Solis, two men who were gunned down in Garfield Park on Dec. 20, 1995.

Cabrera is currently being held in San Francisco County Jail.
