Sinner steals priest's iPhone in Potrero Hill robbery

Thou shall not steal, especially from a priest!

A priest was robbed of his iPhone last Thursday as he sat out in front of his church in Potrero Hill, police said Tuesday.

The 62-year-old victim was sitting in front of St. Teresa of Avila on the 300 block of Missouri Street about 9:45 p.m. reading something on his iPad, police said. His iPhone was on the steps he was sitting on beside him.

An unknown suspect suddenly came up out of nowhere and grabbed hold of the iPad, police said.

The priest and the suspect struggled over the iPad and the suspect let go after the priest started screaming for help.

The suspect then grabbed the priest's iPhone instead and fled the scene.
