A 19-year-old man was shot in the leg while waiting for a bus Sunday night in the Silver Terrace neighborhood, according to police.

The shooting was the second at the same intersection in one day.

San Francisco Police Sgt. Michael Andraychak said the second shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Third Street and Palou Avenue. The 19-year-old victim was waiting for the Muni line when he heard shots being fired.

The man started running, according to Andraychak, when he realized he’d been shot in the leg and called police.

Two suspects were found hiding roughly a block away — near 1400 block of Palou — when police arrived, Andraychak said. A gun was also recovered a block from their location.

The shooting is believed to be gang related.

Fifteen hours earlier, a 45-year-old man was shot in the face while walking near Third Street and Palou Avenue. The victim, though, is expected to survive.

San Francisco resident Charles Sullivan, 57, was arrested a block away in connection with the shooting. He matched the victim’s description, according to police.
