Shooting in Glen Park is 61st homicide

A man was fatally shot Tuesday evening in San Francisco’s Glen Park neighborhood.

Officers were called to 813 Chenery St. around 6:30 p.m., a dispatcher said. There was a single victim and no arrests have been made in the case.

According to San Francisco Police Department spokesman Sgt. Wilfred Williams, the victim appeared to be in his 20s. The shooting took place outside of the house, but SFPD officials are not “sure exactly what was going on when it occurred,” Williams said.

The shooting was The City’s 61st homicide of the year. In 2007, there were 98 homicides.
