Sharks team members win Olympic gold and silver

Several members of the San Jose Sharks won Olympic gold and silver medals Sunday afternoon after Canada beat the U.S. in overtime in the hockey final.

Canada won the game 3-2 in sudden death overtime, making four members of the Sharks Olympic champions and earning a silver medal for a fifth Sharks player.

Joe Thornton, Patrick Marleau, Dany Heatley and Dan Boyle played for Canada and beat Sharks teammate Joe Pavelski of Team USA.

The NHL has been on hiatus since Feb. 13 for the Olympics, and the Sharks resume play on Tuesday.
