SFPD cop accused of bribes ‘incapable of corruption’ 

The lawyer for a former SFPD cop accused of taking bribes for passing grades on a taxi test says don’t be so quick to judge him guilty.

We were unable to get a comment in Thursday’s print edition, but here’s a quote from Paul Makaveckas' lawyer, Randy Knox:

“Paul dedicated 38 years of his life to the San Francisco Police Department, and if you were to ask the overwhelming majority of cab drivers in this town what they think about him, they would say he’s a very helpful guy who’s incapable of corruption,” Knox said.
