SFMTA gets good news from Legislature 

Some of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency’s money woes may have been boosted by the state Legislature on Thursday.

A bill that could provide the agency that oversees Muni $36 million in funding this fiscal year and next was approved and is headed to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s desk. The funding, called state transit assistance, will continue beginning in the 2011-12 fiscal year through a complicated tax swap, the SFMTA said.
