SF political consultant charged with six felonies including distributing child porn, possessing stolen parking meter

San Francisco political consultant Enrique Pearce, who was arrested Thursday on suspicion of possessing child pornography, was charged with six felonies Monday by the District Attorney's office.

The charges include possession and distribution of child pornography as well as possession of stolen property. Pearce allegedly had a stolen parking meter in his residence.

On Friday afternoon Pearce bailed out of County Jail Friday, according to the Sheriff's department. Pearce, 41, had a bail set at $250,000.

The Sex Crimes Unit of the San Francisco Police Department forwarded the case to the District Attorney's office late Monday and Pearce is expected to be arraigned later this week.

Police have 48 hours to forward a case to the D.A.'s office for charges.

Pearce was arrested last week on a search warrant by police officers at Leavenworth and McAllister streets in the Civic Center area.

He was booked into County Jail on charges of possessing and distributing child pornography images, along with receiving or buying stolen property. Police said the case involves more than 600 images.
