SF political consultant accused of having child porn free on bail 

San Francisco political consultant Enrique Pearce, who was arrested Thursday on suspicion of possessing child pornography, was bailed out of County Jail Friday afternoon, according to the Sheriff's department.

Pearce, 41, had a bail set at $250,000.

The Sex Crimes unit of the San Francisco Police Department expect to forward the case to the District Attorney's office late Monday and Pearce should be arraigned later this week. Police have 48 hours to forward a case to the D.A.'s office for charges.

Pearce, 41, was arrested on a search warrant by police officers at Leavenworth and McAllister streets in the Civic Center area.

He was booked into County Jail on charges of possessing and distributing child pornography images, along with receiving or buying stolen property. Police said the case involves more than 600 images.
