Richmond

Richmond, most of Golden Gate Park

Sports stomping: Several patrons at a bar on the 2000 block of Divisadero Street gathered outside to smoke cigarettes at 11:25 p.m. Sept. 26. An argument ensued over local sports teams, and a group of sports fans assaulted one patron. The victim was pushed to the ground and stomped upon while someone stole the wallet from the downed man’s pants pocket.

Bike-tool theft: A biking burglar gained entry to the bicycle rental shop inside Golden Gate Park sometime overnight Oct. 1, stealing an assortment of tools and other bicycle equipment.

Mission

Mission district, Noe Valley

Robbery with knife: A shoplifter was caught stealing clothes from a merchant on the 2800 block of Mission Street at 4:50 p.m. Sept. 22. When confronted, he pulled a knife and left the store. Responding officers located the suspect a short distance away, recovered the stolen merchandise and arrested the suspect.

Central

Financial District, Nob Hill, Chinatown, North Beach, Russian Hill, Telegraph Hill

CPR rescue: A distraught woman on the 1-100 block of Spofford Lane attempted to hang herself after a domestic dispute. Officer Welsh responded to the scene at 3:11 p.m. Sept. 25 and immediately rendered CPR to the unresponsive victim. Hours later, the woman was still alive and being treated at San Francisco General Hospital.

ATM mugging: A victim withdrew money from an ATM on the 500 block of California Street at 5:20 a.m. Sept. 27. Two muggers assaulted the victim and stole $700 from his wallet. One suspect was described as a male age 23 to 28, 5 foot 10 inches tall and 170 pounds.

Bicycle posse: Bystanders flagged down two bicycle officers patrolling the 300 block of North Point Street to report an auto burglary that had just occurred at 8:17 p.m. Sept. 16. Working from only a partial suspect description, the officers still managed to locate and arrest the suspect.
