S.F. Police Blotter: Neighborhood crime log 

These are excerpts from the San Francisco Police Department’s daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by police precincts and the neighborhoods they patrol.

Mission

Mission district, Noe Valley

Some friend: A woman and her friend were hanging out at her home at 10:30 p.m. April 9. The woman left the room momentarily and then heard a noise coming from her bedroom.She went to her bedroom and found her friend stealing money from her drawer.

After a confrontation, the friend shoved the woman to the ground and made a slashing motion with a closed knife to the front of her neck. The friend then grabbed jewelry from the woman’s neck.

 The woman attempted to call the police, but the friend broke her phone. The friend fled the scene on a bicycle, and the woman had minor injuries.

Tenderloin

Tenderloin, bordered by Geary, Market and Larkin streets

Stolen goods: Officers observed several people selling what appeared to be stolen property at McAllister and Jones streets April 9.

The officers detained the subjects and confiscated several items of stolen property.

Central

Financial District, Nob Hill, Chinatown, North Beach, Russian Hill, Telegraph Hill

Forked: A security officer apprehended a suspect on the 2800 block of Leavenworth Street at 9 p.m. April 10 after the suspect stabbed a restaurant employee with a fork.

The suspect was said to be a transient trespasser who was being asked to leave the premises.

Bayview

Bayview, Hunters Point

Bikejacking: Officers responded to Gilman Playground at 5:05 p.m. April 9 regarding the attempted stealing of a motorcycle. Officers spoke with the victim, who said he was giving people rides on his motorcycle when one of the kids rode behind a bush, where an unknown suspect pushed him off and rode away on the bike. The child that had been on the bike then ran and jumped onto the bike with the suspect, and both of them took off down the street. The bike was found abandoned a distance away. Officers were unable to contact the suspects. No arrests were made.
