S.F. Police Blotter: Neighborhood crime log 

These are excerpts from the San Francisco Police Department’s daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by police precincts and the neighborhoods they patrol.

Central

Financial District, Nob Hill, Chinatown, North Beach, Russian Hill, Telegraph Hill

Fight club: Officers responded to a call of a fight inside a club on the 300 block of Bay Street at 1:45 a.m. May 11. One man required medical aid due to cuts to his head and face. A short while later, an officer arrested a drunken man after the suspect spat blood on his patrol car.

Bayview

Bayview, Hunters Point

Breaking up is hard to do: Officers responded to San Francisco General Hospital on May 16 regarding a woman who had been stabbed by her ex-boyfriend on the 1000 block of Le Conte Avenue because she was trying to end their relationship. The victim persuaded her ex to drive her to the hospital and come inside. Officers took the man into custody, and he told officers that he had stabbed the victim in self-defense, because the victim had ordered a "hit" on him.

Richmond

Richmond, most of Golden Gate Park

Robbery: A 13-year-old girl was opening the front gate to her home on the 500 block of Fifth Avenue at 7 p.m. May 10 when a man and a woman approached her from behind. The woman ordered the girl to give up her phone and iPod. The girl refused. The woman grabbed the items, and both suspects fled north on Fifth Avenue.

Park

Cole Valley, Haight, Castro, Twin Peaks, Panhandle

Exchange rate: A laptop was taken in a residential burglary at 6 p.m. May 9. A caller then told the victim that he would sell the laptop back to him and arranged a rendezvous. A search of the suspect’s home turned up more stolen items.

Southern

South of Market, China Basin, Embarcadero

Drunk in public: Officers on patrol on the unit block of Sixth Street on May 8 observed an intoxicated man on the sidewalk. The officers contacted the subject, who was unable to care for himself. After a brief struggle, the suspect was booked.
