These are excerpts from the San Francisco Police Department's daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by police precincts and the neighborhoods they patrol.

Southern

South of Market, China Basin, Embarcadero

Burglary arrest: Officers arrested a subject on suspicion of auto burglary, possession of stolen property and resisting arrest near Third and Harrison streets at 10:01 p.m. May 25.

Tenderloin

Tenderloin, bordered by Geary, Market and Larkin streets

Busted: Plainclothesmen conducted a "buy-bust" operation at Taylor and Market streets on

May 17. An undercover officer on Taylor Street was asked if he wanted crack. The officer gave the dealer $20, and the man handed the officer a rock of crack cocaine. The officer gave the signal, and the arrest team arrested the drug dealer.

Richmond

Richmond, most of GoldenGate Park

German tradition: Plainclothes officers were near John F. Kennedy Drive due to auto burglaries in the vicinity at 5:30 p.m. May 17 when one of the officers observed a man get out of a vehicle and walk into the trees. The man then exited wearing only a tank top, stood on the path and exposed himself to passersbys. Officers detained the 47-year-old, who told them he was "from Germany and that it was OK to walk around naked there."

Bayview

Bayview, Hunters Point

Assault and robbery: Officers responded to the 100 block of Gaven Street at 11:23 p.m. May 22 regarding a robbery. The victim said she was walking home when two suspects pointed a gun at her and demanded her purse and money. One of the suspects then reached under her shirt and sexually assaulted her. The victim ran to a neighbor’s house.

Ingleside

Glen Park, Bernal Heights, Excelsior, St. Francis Wood

Going in circles: Plainclothesmen saw a man driving recklessly in circles in a lot on the 3300 block of Mission Street at 2:15 a.m. May 19. He was arrested and his car impounded.
