S.F. Police Blotter: Neighborhood crime log 

These are excerpts from the San Francisco Police Department’s daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by police precincts and the neighborhoods they patrol.


South of Market, China Basin, Embarcadero

Terrorist threats: Officers arrested someone on suspicion of attempted robbery and terrorist threats at Otis and McCoppin streets at 1:10 p.m. May 25.


Richmond, most of Golden Gate Park

Robbery: Officers received a call of an alarm at a business on the 2300 block of Clement Street at 5:10 a.m. May 18. Officers found that a window had been broken and the front door had been pried open. The owner arrived and determined that cash had been taken.


Cole Valley, Haight, Castro, Twin Peaks, Panhandle

Some help from dad: A woman reported at 11 p.m. May 18 that her live-in boyfriend had been drinking and argued with her. He accused her of seeing another man and slapped her, leaving her bruised. After he passed out, she called her father and told him what had happened. Her father called police. The boyfriend was woken up and was belligerent to the officers. He was arrested.


Bayview, Hunters Point

Warranted: Officers responded to the 2000 block of San Bruno Avenue at 1:15 a.m. May 22 regarding a burglary. Officers found the suspect on San Bruno Avenue and detained her pending further investigation. After confirmation of a warrant and charges for the burglary, the suspect was arrested and transported to county jail.


Glen Park, Bernal Heights, Excelsior, St. Francis Wood

Surprise! Officers ran after a man who fled from them on the 800 block of Velasco Street at 1 a.m. May 22. They circled a building and surprised the man, a 32-year-old Bayview resident, as he ran toward them. He threw narcotics to the ground when he saw the officers.

The man was arrested. He was wanted for a parole violation as well.

Rude awakening: A Glen Park resident of Chenery Street awoke at 6:45 a.m. May 23 to find that an overnight guest had taken his car, cell phone and house keys.


Sunset, Parkside, portions of Golden Gate Park

Mid-day snack: Officers went to Lincoln High School on the 2100 block of 24th Avenue, where a student was eating brownies laced with marijuana in a classroom at 11 a.m. May 21. The student was cited.
