S.F. Police Blotter: Neighborhood crime log 

These are excerpts from the San Francisco Police Department's daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by police precincts and the neighborhoods they patrol.

Park

Cole Valley, Haight, Castro, Twin Peaks, Panhandle

Gunfire: Residents along the border of the Northern and Park districts on Eddy Street were awoken by gunfire at 2:20 a.m. May 28. Two groups on Eddy were shooting at each other with several firearms.

The intersection of Eddy and Steiner streets had numerous shell casings, and bullets flew through one resident’s bedroom, striking her DVD player.

Mission

Mission district, Noe Valley

Crash: A drunken driver near Market and Romain streets hit two parked vehicles, then rolled the vehicle at 1:30 a.m. May 23. The Jaws of Life were used to extricate the trapped victims.

Richmond

Richmond, most of Golden Gate Park

Robbery: A suspect entered a residence on the 400 block of 45th Avenue between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. May 26 and took computers, jewelry and cash. The victim had left the front door unlocked.

Central

Financial District, Nob Hill, Chinatown, North Beach, Russian Hill, Telegraph Hill

Gang fight: A man called out to a friend in a restaurant when a group of young men confronted him on the 300 block of Jefferson Street at 10 p.m. May 25. The 18- to 19-year-old suspects mentioned gang affiliations and attacked the victim. Officers detained the suspects, who were booked on suspicion of felony assault. Photos were taken of the suspects’ tattoos and clothing.

Bayview

Bayview, Hunters Point

Purse snatching: Officers responded to the 1400 block of Kansas Street at 12:30 p.m. May 28 regarding a purse snatching.

A woman told officers that she was walking home on Kansas when a suspect came up behind her, grabbed her purse and ran down the street.
