S.F. Police Blotter: Neighborhood crime log 

These are excerpts from the San Francisco Police Department’s daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by police precincts and the neighborhoodsthey patrol.

Northern

Pacific Heights, Marina, Japantown, Polk Gulch

Probation violation: Officers were dispatched to Scott and Green streets at 10:45 p.m. June 18 regarding a suspicious person. The caller told dispatch the subject was loitering. The officers located the subject, who told them he was on probation. A computer check revealed he was on probation and had two outstanding felony warrants. The subject was arrested. During a search, the officers found narcotics on the subject.

Mission

Mission district, Noe Valley

Helper hit: A victim was approached at 22nd and Capp streets by a suspect who brandished a gun and demanded money June 17. A second victim came to the aid of the first and was struck by another suspect. The suspects then fled.

Park

Cole Valley, Haight, Castro, Twin Peaks, Panhandle

Busted for a bracelet: Someone saw a person leaning on a parked vehicle that he knew belonged to a neighbor. When the traffic cleared off the street at 2:30 p.m. June 16, he saw the person take a long instrument out of his pants and start working on the window. The glass broke, and the thief grabbed a bracelet that was sitting on the center console. He tried to escape in his buddy’s Honda, but officers apprehended them. The men were arrested.

Richmond

Richmond, most of Golden Gate Park

At the car wash: Officers responded to a call of an assault at the car wash at Collins Street and Geary Boulevard at 1 p.m. June 15. The suspect had been in line and thought the driver of the car that the victim was in was trying to cut. There was an argument, and the victim got out of the passenger seat and stood in front of the suspect’s car. His friend drove the car out of the lot and parked down the street. The suspect then reversed his car and drove toward the victim, who jumped on the hood to avoid being knocked under the car. The victim slid to the ground. A 37-year-old man was charged with aggravated assault.
