These are excerpts from the San Francisco Police Department's daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by police precincts and the neighborhoods they patrol.

Bayview

Bayview Hunters Point

They went that way: Officers were flagged down by a victim of a robbery Dec. 19. The victim told theofficers that he was just robbed at gunpoint and that the suspects were still nearby. The officers found the three suspects. Not only did the officers locate the stolen money, but they also recovered the gun used in the robbery.

Bus money: Officers responded to the Transbay Terminal on a report of a robbery Dec. 22. When the officers arrived, they found a victim with cuts and abrasions all over his face. The victim told the officers he was waiting for the bus when he was approached by the suspect, who beat him and took his money. The officers located a witness who knew the whereabouts of the suspect. Officers located the very large suspect, who was identified and arrested.

Southern

South of Market, China Basin, Embarcadero

Drive-by ID: Officers were on patrol near City Nights nightclub when they saw commotion near Third and Harrison streets Jan. 6. They saw two young women who appeared to be beaten. Both victims had cuts and bruises and were bleeding from the head and face. The victims and witnesses told the officers the suspects used anti-gay statements before and during the attack. The officers stabilized the victims and started first aid while awaiting the responding paramedics. While the officers were administering first aid, a vehicle sped past the scene. Witnesses to this assault alerted the officers that the people in the car were the ones responsible for the attack. One officer stayed with the victims, who were badly hurt, while the other chased down the suspects. The suspects were taken into custody and positively identified by witnesses. Both suspects were booked into county jail.

Taraval

Sunset, Parkside, portions of Golden Gate Park

Assault arrest: An officer responded to an address in the 1400 block of 45th Avenue,where a victim had been beaten by her boyfriend at 12:05 p.m. Jan. 12. Officers found the suspect on 34th Avenue and arrested him.
