S.F. Police Blotter: Neighborhood crime log 

These are excerpts from the San Francisco Police Department's daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by police precincts and the neighborhoods they patrol.

Bayview

Hunters Point

Bike bust: Officers were on patrol near Sixth Street on Dec. 24 when they observed a person riding his bicycle on the sidewalk. They stopped the person and attempted to give him a citation. It was obvious to these officers that this person was not being truthful about his identity. He was wanted for a parole violation and had five rocks of crack cocaine in his mouth.

Southern

South of Market, China Basin, Embarcadero

Box-cutter attack: Officers responded Jan. 11 to a stabbing at Mission and Eighth streets, where a victim was bleeding from the hand. He told the officers the suspect seemed drunk and had cut him for no reason. Officers located the suspect near Seventh and Mission streets. The suspect resisted arrest but was taken into custody. A bloody box cutter was still in the suspect’s pocket when he was arrested.

Central

Financial District, Nob Hill, Chinatown, North Beach, Russian Hill, Telegraph Hill

Take down: On the 100 block of Jackson Street, an officer responded to the scene of a shoplifting where the female suspect was fighting with security personnel attempting to take her into custody at 2:35 p.m. Jan. 7. The officer attempted to handcuff the combative suspect. The suspect resisted the officer’sefforts and, in the struggle, the officer fell to the sidewalk, but landed on top of the suspect.

Northern

Pacific Heights, Marina, Japantown, Polk Gulch

ATM spree: Officers responded to a robbery on the 1500 block of Van Ness Avenue at 11:50 p.m. Jan. 1. The victim told the officers someone robbed him at gunpoint as he withdrew money from an ATM. The suspect fled in a vehicle, which the victim described to the officers. Another robbery occurred near Ocean and Mission streets and another at Mission and First streets. The victim at Ocean and Mission gave the same vehicle description. Officers located the vehicle near Eddy and Gough streets and all the occupants were arrested.
