Bayview

Bayview, Hunters Point

Parolee busted: Undercover officers received a tip that a parolee was dealing drugs and was in possession of a firearm on Latona Street at 1:34 p.m.Jan. 8. The parolee was outside his residence, and a parole search was conducted. In the man’s room were heroin and a scale. In the man’s car in the garage was a loaded 12-gauge shotgun. The man was booked for narcotics and weapons charges, and his parole was violated.

Southern

South of Market, China Basin, Embarcadero

Check-out time: Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Eighth Street regarding a stabbing Jan. 9. When the officers arrived, they found a victim who had a knife wound in his chest. The victim, who appeared intoxicated, told the officers that the person who cut him was a friend to whom he owed money. The victim knew where the suspect lived and gave the information to the officers. The officers went there and sought the assistance from the hotel manager. The manager refused to cooperate and the suspect fled the building while the officers were checking his room. Officers searched the surrounding streets for the suspect and located him a few blocks away from the scene. When identifications were made, the suspect was booked into county jail.

Mission

Mission district, Noe Valley

Costco run: Officers on patrol on 24th Street near Capp Street at 6:44 p.m. Jan. 1 saw a suspect running with a green Costco bag. A woman yelled to the officers that she was just robbed by the suspect. Officers saw the suspect get into a waiting car.

The officers chased the vehicle eastbound on 25th Street and into the Ingleside district. During the pursuit, the suspect jumped out of the vehicle on Costa Street. The officers continued the chase and captured the driver on the 200 block of Halliday Street. The victim was with her 9-year-old son, who was holding a Costco bag, loading her minivan. The suspect took the bag from the child and when the mother confronted the suspect, he pointed a semiautomatic handgun at her face. The driver of the getaway car was arrested on numerous charges, including robbery.
