S.F. Police Blotter: Neighborhood crime log 

These are excerpts from the San Francisco Police Department’s daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by police precincts and the neighborhoods they patrol.

Northern

Pacific Heights, Marina, Japantown, Polk Gulch

Not a pretty picture: Officers responded to the 1200 block of Polk Street regarding a fight at 1:30 a.m. Feb. 10. The officers detained a subject who resisted arrest. The victims were located. Both had bloody noses, and one was holding a broken camera. The officers got statements from the victims and several witnesses who saw the suspect punch both victims in the face. The victims signed a citizen’s arrest, and the subject was arrested. Both victims were transported to the hospital for treatment, and the subject was booked.

Richmond

Richmond, most of Golden Gate Park

Employee discount: Two suspects entered a business on the 200 block of Balboa Street at noon Feb. 12. After being in the store for five minutes, the suspects left without making a purchase. Later, the victim, an employee of that business, discovered her wallet had been taken from her purse. Upon calling the credit card companies to report a loss, she was told that the cards had been used in a store nearby. She went to the store and determined that the people who used her credit card were the same two men who had been in her shop earlier.

Central

Financial District, Nob Hill, Chinatown, North Beach, Russian Hill, Telegraph Hill

Troubled waters: Officers responded to a call of a fight aboard a docked boat near the Hyde Street Pier at 12:15 a.m. Feb. 8. They determined that an individual boarded a boat after midnight and confronted the owner, at one point brandishing a knife. The boat owner hit the intruder in self defense, causing a laceration to the suspect’s eyebrow. The suspect was given medical attention and booked on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, trespassing and assault.

Mission

Mission district, Noe Valley

Bottle battering: A 25-year-old male was hit over the head with a bottle by a person known to him at 10:30 p.m. Feb. 3 at 16th and Albion streets.
