S.F. Police Blotter: Neighborhood crime log 

These are excerpts from the San Francisco Police Department's daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by police precincts and the neighborhoods they patrol.

Mission

Mission district, Noe Valley

Nice try: Officers responded to a traffic accident involving one truck and three parked vehicles at 2:57 a.m. Dec. 4 near the 2300 block of Folsom Street. As officers arrived, a man said he was hit on the head by a vehicle. Officers suspected the man was under the influence of alcohol and arrested the suspect for driving and causing an accident while under the influence. The suspect’s test results were well more than two times the legal limit of alcohol consumption while driving a vehicle.

Southern

South of Market, China Basin, Embarcadero

Window shopping: A person was allegedly peering into parked cars at Guy and Lansing streets on Nov. 28. Officers, who were dispatched to the scene, were unable to locate the suspicious person. Police contacted the homeowner who had observed the suspicious person and had called the police. The homeowner stated the person was hiding in the bushes nearby. With a more detailed search, the officers located the person hiding inside the bushes. The suspect was wanted on a theft warrant and booked into county jail.

Drug bust: Plainclothes officers conducted a surveillance and witnessed alleged drug deals near the UN Plaza on Nov. 20. They arrested two individuals for alleged narcotic sales and took 18 rocks of heroin off the streets.

Richmond

Richmond, most of Golden Gate Park

Home sweet home: A trespasser was reported on the 300 block of 17th Avenue at 6:50 p.m. Dec. 6. The caller told the officers that she came home and discovered the suspect on her front steps, standing right in front of her front door. The resident said the suspect camps out on her front steps almost every day and that she has asked him repeatedly to leave. The man was charged with trespassing and public intoxication.
