Gate crasher: On the 800 block of 27th Avenue, a suspect gained entry into a home between 11 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Feb. 15 by prying open the front gate and door. The suspect took cash and fled.

Can you break $100? On the evening of Feb. 18, a woman went into three businesses on Geary Boulevard. She placed orders for food or beverages and gave the employees a $100 bill. One of the businesses saw that the bill was fake and gave it back to the suspect. The two other businesses gave the suspect change and she left, possibly fleeing in a white van.

Financial District, Nob Hill, Chinatown, North Beach, Russian Hill, Telegraph Hill

That’s not what I paid for: Near Kearny Street and Broadway, an individual said that while he was in an adult entertainment club just after midnight on Feb. 17, he "negotiated a lap dance for $60 with his debit card." The card company called him to say that more than $400 in debit charges were made on the card while he was at the club.

Glen Park, Bernal Heights, Excelsior, St. Francis Wood

U-Hauled away: Officers saw a U-Haul truck being driven recklessly at Raymond Avenue and Sawyer Street at 4:56 p.m. Feb. 25 and followed it. The driver pulled to the curb and ran away. The officers checked the truck’s registration and found that it had been reported stolen. They waited until the driver returned to the truck and arrested him after a short foot chase. The driver was booked.

Sunset, Parkside, portions of Golden Gate Park

Lot looter: Security at Stonestown observed a suspect break a car window and attempt to enter the vehicle at 10:35 a.m. Feb. 22. The suspect was scared off by a nearby security vehicle and took off on foot. Officers responded to the area, located the suspect at a nearby bus stop, and arrested the resident of Randolph Street for attempted burglary and possession of burglar tools.
