S.F. Police Blotter: Neighborhood crime log 

These are excerpts from the San Francisco Police Department's daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by police precincts and the neighborhoods they patrol.

Northern

Pacific Heights, Marina, Japantown, Polk Gulch

Robbery: Officers responded to the 600 block of Eddy Street on a robbery call at 1:45 a.m. March 2. The victim told the officers that he was leaving thebar when the suspect came up to him and pushed him against the building. The suspect then demanded the victim’s money. The victim gave the suspect his money. The suspect was wearing a white hoodie and blue jeans.

Bayview

Bayview, Hunters Point

Restaurant burglarized: Officers responded to the Lingba Restaurant at 1469 18th St. at 2:30 a.m. March 9 to investigate a burglary call. While en route, the officers were informed that the suspect had left a flashlight behind. Officers arrived and spoke with the acting manager, who told them a large amount of cash had been taken. Officers attempted to locate any suspects or witnesses to no avail.

Richmond

Richmond, most of Golden Gate Park

Take the money and run: On March 6, at 4:10 p.m., officers responded to the 2500 block of Sutter Street on a robbery that had just occurred. The female victim provided a description of the two juvenile suspects who had taken her purse and ran into the Westside housing development. While awaiting the police, the victim was being aided by another woman who had heard the her calling for help. This person was able to retrieve the victim’s purse and all its contents.

Officers located one of the suspects, a 13-year-old boy, running from the area. He told the police officers that he and a friend had taken the purse because they wanted money. He was charged with robbery.

Taraval

Sunset, Parkside, portions of Golden Gate Park

Trespassing: Officers went to an address on the 1200 block of 20th Avenue, where a drunken trespasser refused to leave at 12:34 p.m. March 8. The suspect, who has no permanent local address, was also in possession of suspected methamphetamine.
