S.F. Police Blotter: Neighborhood crime log 

These are excerpts from the San Francisco Police Department’s daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by police precincts and the neighborhoods they patrol.

Bayview

Bayview, Hunters Point

Cornered: Officers from Bayview’s plainclothes team were in the area of Jennings Street and Egbert Avenue regarding a person who appeared to be standing on the street corner and smoking crack at 3:33 p.m. March 10. The person had an outstanding warrant and was arrested.

Fear of retaliation: At 10:35 p.m. March 11 on Kirkwood Avenue, homeowners reported that three teenagers with a gun had broken into his house and robbed it. The victims told officers that police could not come to their house for fear of serious retaliation. No suspects were arrested.

Richmond

Richmond, most of Golden Gate Park

Damaged door: Officers responded to an alarm call at 4:20 a.m. March 10 on the 2400 block of Clement Street where the glass in a front door had been smashed. The owner came to the scene and determined that nothing had been taken, but several items had been moved around.

Ingleside

Glen Park, Bernal Heights, Excelsior, St. Francis Wood

Apartment break-ins: An apartment resident onthe 1400 block of Guerrero Street heard pounding outside at 11:48 a.m. March 10 and saw a man kicking in the back door of another apartment. The witness saw the burglar carry items away from the building. The witness followed the perpetrator but lost sight of the man in the area of St. Luke’s Hospital. Officers searched the neighborhood for the suspect to no avail. Two apartments had been broken into.

Watch your hands: An officer attempted to speak to a woman who had assaulted a passerby on the unit block of Santos Street at 5 p.m. March 10. The woman injured the officer when she closed her apartment’s door on his hand. The woman left her apartment, and an officer found her nearby. She was arrested after a struggle. The 37-year-old Visitacion Valley woman was booked into county jail on multiple charges.
