SF man gets 205 years in prison for stabbing death

A San Francisco man was sentenced to 205 years to life in prison for stabbing his girlfriend to death and sexually assaulting her two daughters.

A jury found 35-year-old Umar Hudson guilty in November of first-degree murder and four counts of sexual assault of a minor. The San Francisco Chronicle (http://bit.ly/wjPGTp) reports San Francisco Superior Court Judge Jerome Benson handed down the sentence Wednesday.

Prosecutors say Hudson, a convicted sex offender, fatally stabbed 32-year-old Jernell Scott in April 2007 after confronting her in front of her Bernal Heights home. Scott had apparently reported her suspicions that Hudson was molesting her daughters, ages 13 and 9.

Prosecutors say neighbors saw Hudson stab Scott before going back inside her home, grabbing another knife and stabbing her again. Scott was arrested soon thereafter.
