SF Caltrain station back in sync with commuters

The weeklong stint of commuters’ nearly missing trains leaving the San Francisco Caltrain station is no more.

The digital clocks were two minutes fast at the San Francisco station, meaning trains were leaving early, according to Caltrain riders.

However, Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn said the trains run off of a “complicated dispatching system,” not a simple wall clock.

Digital clocks “have nothing to do with the operations of the trains,” Dunn said.

The time difference was noticed Tuesday morning by the station manager and the clock was adjusted.
