SF bicyclist injured after running into pole

A person who struck a pole while riding a bike suffered life-threatening injuries last weekend in the Tenderloin.

About 12:15 p.m. Saturday, emergency crews responded to a report of an injured biker at the intersection of Jones and Turk streets, according to Fire Department spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge.

The biker was admitted to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, Talmadge said.

Talmadge did not have an update on the victim's condition as of Monday.
