Severe East Coast weather cancels 17 flights at SFO

Four departures from San Francisco International Airport to Logan International Airport in Boston were canceled Sunday because of a blizzard warning on the East Coast, airport officials said.

Additionally, seven flights from Logan to SFO have been canceled, said San Francisco International Airport duty manager Bob Rotiski.

The National Weather Service issued a blizzard warning for central and eastern Massachusetts until 7 a.m. EST Monday. Six to 12 inches of snow is anticipated in the area.

One flight departing from SFO and five arrivals from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York have been canceled as well, airport officials said.
