Several collisions, public transit delays on wet, slippery morning

Motorists are advised to use extra caution and time traveling to and around San Francisco due to wet roads from an early morning drizzle Thursday.

A traffic hazard was reported on southbound Interstate 280 just north of the Eastmoor Avenue offramp at 7:53 a.m.

A no-injury collision occurred on westbound Interstate 80, on the third lane from the far left, just east of the Bay Bridge toll plaza at 7:10 a.m.

A collision with unknown injuries occurred on southbound U.S. Highway 101 just north of the Cesar Chavez Street offramp at 7:05 a.m.

The Muni Mason Cable Car line was down at 7:50 a.m. Shuttle buses were sent to provide supplemental service.

BART was recovering from 10- to 15-minute delays at San Francisco stations in the East Bay direction due to an equipment problem at 7:01 a.m.

A traffic hazard was reported on northbound I-280 just north of the Mariposa Street offramp at 8:23 a.m.

The westbound F-Market line was blocked at Market and Main streets by a non-Muni vehicle at 8:03 a.m., causing the street cars to switch back at the Ferry Building.
