Serious accident involving pedestrian and M-Oceanview line 

A pedestrian who was struck and temporarily trapped underneath a Muni light-rail vehicle has been transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.

The accident occurred at 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Randolph and Ramsell streets and involved Muni’s M-Oceanview train, according to Kristen Holland of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency.

The pedestrian was temporarily trapped underneath the train, but was removed shortly after 5 p.m. and transported to a local hospital, Holland said.

Service on the M-Oceanview has been replaced with bus shuttles in both direction between Geneva and San Jose avenues and West Portal station.
