Sen. Durbin mocks Washingtonians for snow 'panic'

The Hill's Jordy Yager reports that Sen. Durbin launched a full-scale rant against Washingtonian's response to the historic amount of snow hit our area in the last week.

“I am convinced that infants born in Washington, D.C., are taken from the arms of their loving mothers right when they are born into a room where someone shows a film of a snowstorm with shrieking and screaming so that those children come to believe snow is a mortal enemy, like a nuclear attack, because I have seen, for over 40 years here, people in this town go into a full-scale panic at the thought of a snowfall."

Sen. Durbin went on to say that, 'Those of us from parts of the country that get snow and know how to live with it.'

These Chicago boys really like to point out how tough they are when it comes to snow.

Last year, President Obama caught some heat for joking about Washingtonians last year after his daughters' school was canceled due to snow.

"My children's school was canceled today because of what? Some ice."
