S.F. Section

» MATCHUP: Lincoln (24-9) vs. Mission (24-4) at Kezar Pavilion, 5 p.m.

» THIS SEASON: Host Mission won 68-58 on Jan. 10, host Lincoln won 73-66 on Feb. 15

» LEADING SCORERS: L—F Deend Parker, 23.7 ppg; M—G Demaree Hampton, 24.6 ppg

» SCOUTING REPORT: Two of The City’s most entertaining teams take center stage on the big court at Kezar Pavilion. Mission and Lincoln love to run, with guards Demaree Hampton, Harry Howard and Grant Thomas pushing the pace for the Bears and Mustangs distributors Drew Bologna and Randall Gacayan looking for finisher Deend Parker on the break for Lincoln. But while there will be flash, the game will likely be decided by fundamentals: Namely, which team can take better care of the ball and control the backboards.

CCS Division III

» MATCHUP: No. 5 Sacred Heart Cathedral (19-11) vs. No. 2 Riordan (19-10) at Santa Clara University, 8:30 p.m.

» THIS SEASON: Riordan won 57-51 at Sacred Heart on Jan. 15; Sacred Heart won 59-56 at Riordan on Feb. 6; host Riordan won 61-52 on Feb. 12 in WCAL tournament

» SCOUTING REPORT: No secrets remain between these two West Catholic Athletic League rivals who have already met three times this season. Sacred Heart, winners of 10 of 12, is led by junior stars Jerry Brown, Kevin Greene and Teandre Hubbard. Riordan will look for forward Jorge Camacho on the inside and hope to free guard Daniel Cannon for outside shots and drives to the basket. "At this point, they know what we do and we know what they do," Riordan coach Rich Buckner said. "It’s just going to come down to heart and desire."

Up next is a Branson team that has won the Division V state title two years running and is led by Harvard-bound guard Oliver McNally. Should the Bulls focus too much on Wells, forwards Andrew Ahn, Jeff Parkin and others have proven capable of knocking down the big shot.

Sacred Heart does enter the game shorthanded though, as defensive catalyst Lauren Bell is out with a knee injury. For the Wildcats, sophomore guard Eilise O’Connor showed she’s not afraid of the spotlight by scoring 21 points in the semifinal win over Notre Dame of Belmont and versatile forwards Rachel Hatch and Maggie McCarthy can be tough to stop.

Key matchups include Lowell guard Kristina Lum against Lincoln counterpart Hallie Meneses and Lowell’s Jessi Miao versus the Mustangs’ Monique Thomas on the inside.
