Scoop: Will estranged wife sue Fantasia Barrino?

Fantasia Barrino has left the hospital and is “doing much better,” her attorney said, after an overdose — reported to be a suicide attempt — on Monday. But as for the marital drama she’s found herself embroiled in, things only stand to get more complicated.

Though the “American Idol” winner has insisted (via her manager) that she believed beau Antwaun Cook was separated from his wife, she has been named as the other woman in said wife’s divorce papers. And in her home state of North Carolina, that means she might be sued for allegedly breaking up the marriage.

The singer’s attorney said she “has not yet been sued for alienation of affection or criminal conversation,” which are apparently the legal terms for sneaking around with someone else’s husband.

“The people who think these claims protect marriages and families have never sat through a trial,” said the attorney, Gena Graham Morris. “They make hurt people more hurt. For the sake of everybody involved, I hope [Fantasia] is not sued because she did not break up the Cooks’ marriage.”

As much as we enjoy a good dirt unearthing, considering that the Cooks have two young sons, we tend to agree.

Single Lady

Kim Kardashian is not seeing Dallas Cowboys player Miles Austin anymore, but that doesn’t mean her run-in with Cristiano Ronaldo was romantic. Though they allegedly had a brief fling in spring, the bootylicious socialite and the soccer stud weren’t reconnecting when they were spotted at the Beverly Hills Hotel last week.

“Kim and Cristiano bumped into each other and chatted as friends,” a friend of the reality TV star told the New York Post. “He’s still with [model] Irina Shayk, and Kim doesn’t have time for a relationship.”

We keep hearing about how busy this girl is, and in every photo we see, she’s shopping or going out to lunch. What gives?

Berry Friendly

Halle Berry has opened up about her split from baby-daddy Gabriel Aubrey, but don’t expect her to dish the drama. The Oscar winner told Vogue magazine that after four years together, she and the model went their separate ways the mature way.

“Gabriel and I had long dealt with it,” the actress said. “We were done. And we were on a good foot, and we had decided what we were going to do for [daughter] Nahla, and we were able to say, ‘This will pass.’

“You realize you are not meant to go the distance with everybody. We were meant to bring this amazing little person into the world. And I think that’s why we came together. And because of that, we are going to be together forever, all three of us. We are a family until we are not here anymore.”

Nowadays, there is “no discord” and “no fighting” between the parents, Halle said, insisting that they’re “still friends. We love each other very much, and we both share the love of our lives. And we are both 100 percent committed to being the best parents we can be. And while it was not a love connection for us, he was absolutely the right person to have this child with because she is going to have an amazing father.”

A genuinely amicable Hollywood split? Will wonders never cease?
