Scoop: Pals say Lindsay ‘needs help’

Lindsay Lohan recently declared that she hit rock bottom a few years ago ... but apparently she still has a long way to climb to get back on track. The troubled starlet is still a regular on the party scene and still hung up on her ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson, say observers.

For three consecutive nights, LiLo was spotted out and about in Hollywood — and it seemed she was stalking Sam, first at the DJ’s gig at Teddy’s on Monday night and then at Bardot’s Hollywood on Tuesday.

“She wouldn’t leave, and at the end of the night, you could tell she was waiting for Sam,” a source relayed to “People.” “They never talked at all, though, and Sam was definitely avoiding [her].”

Though Lindsay has toned down her partying and claims to now drink moderately, pals are said to worry that a backslide is imminent.

“She needs help. She needs to solve her problems,” a friend told New York’s Daily News. “She’s just not taking care of herself.”

Prescription Confusion

A report that Brittany Murphy might have taken excessive doses of Vicodin in the days before her death was angrily denounced by the actress’s widower, Simon Monjack.

TMZ had claimed that a prescription for 120 pills of the painkiller was filled in Brittany’s name 11 days before her death — and that while she should have taken only 44 per the dosage instructions, there were only 11 found remaining in the bottle.

The paparazzi site’s sources also alleged that the doctor who wrote the script couldn’t be found, and Simon was “no help” when a staffer from the coroner’s office reached out to him to locate the doc.

But Simon indignantly calls the report “defamatory and ridiculous,” saying the pills were prescribed to Brittany’s mother Sharon Murphy, who suffers from neuropathy (nerve damage) following radiation treatment for cancer. He told TMZ that after the story was posted, he and his mother-in-law found 73 more of the pills from the prescription.

“We have never been asked about these pills by the coroner,” a distraught Simon told Radar Online, adding, “This false story is triggering [Sharon’s] neuropathy more and it’s damaging. It’s hard enough to lose a daughter but then to have this story ... makes it even harder.”

Though speculation has swirled about the “Clueless” star’s sudden collapse at 32, an autopsy report released last week said that there were no illegal drugs in Brittany’s system when she died, and that she had been suffering from pneumonia.

Robsten: PDA!

Now that the cat’s out of the bag about them being a couple (yeah, we know — when was it not?), Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart aren’t shy about acting like one in public.

On a recent outing to a London pub, the “Twilight” stars were looking very cozy indeed. “He had his arm around her, holding her close to him and she was leaning into him,” a gawker told “OK!” “They were outside, sharing each other’s cigarettes, talking and kissing.”

Although “they were not wanting to make a big show of kissing in public” — unlike most Hollywood couples we could name — “they seemed really into each other, there was definite chemistry between them,” says the onlooker. “So cute ... They were definitely enjoying each other’s company.”

Sounds like the real deal! So, are you Team “Awwwww!” or Team “Waaaaaah!”?
